What is the immune cells?
 

The immune system works as a defense mechanism that can discern between healthy cells, mutated and deteriorated cells, and foreign objects that are harmful to the body.
Immune cells are derived from hematopoietic stem cells and can be categorized into NK cells, T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, etc. When facing an external attack, the immune system will protect the healthy cells and attack the mutated and deteriorated cells.

NK Cell(Natural Killer Cell):
Also known as the Natural Killer Cell, is able to regulate immunity and directly attack and kill cancerous cells.
When NK cells come into contact with cancerous and virus-infected cells, the NK cells will activate and eliminate these adverse cells.
The NK cells within the blood’s white blood cells are approximately 2-6%. Due to its small number, with aging and external environmental effects, the cell count and vitality will also decrease. 

T Cell:
A type of immunity cell. Consequently it has the ability to identify or remember target cells and destroy invaders and poor functioning cells.
After cultivation and training through the thymus, T cells are able to differentiate between normal cells and cancerous cells, subsequently eliminating the cancerous cells. Due to aging, cells will begin to deteriorate after the peak of youth and bodily functions will gradually age. The initial number of T cells will steadily decrease, weakening the immune system’s defense mechanism and affecting the body’s immunity.

人體內每天都會生長出許多新的細胞,其中有些細胞會變異為不正常的細胞,甚至可能變成惡性腫瘤細胞,也就是所謂的癌症。

癌症的發生和免疫機能的強弱關係相當密切,當人體免疫功能降低,腫瘤的生長將無法受到有效的抑制。

免疫細胞有哪些種類

免疫細胞又可分為NK細胞、T細胞、B細胞、樹突細胞...等,面對外來敵人侵入時,各自分工,免疫細胞的功用在於保護體內健康的細胞,並攻擊變異後惡化的細胞。

NK細胞是什麼?

NK細胞(Natural Killer Cell)又稱為自然殺手細胞,能夠調節免疫力,也能直接辨認並攻擊、殺死循環腫瘤細胞(俗稱的癌細胞)。

當NK細胞與癌細胞、病毒感染的細胞接觸後,便會活化NK細胞、清除癌細胞與感染細胞。

血液中白血球的NK細胞約2~6%,數量並不多,加上隨著生理年齡的增長及外在環境的影響,它的數量及活性也會跟著下降。

T細胞是什麼?

T細胞是免疫細胞的一種。隨著種類不同,能夠辨認或記憶目標細胞、摧毀侵入者和功能不佳的細胞,一般而言,每一個T細胞可消滅上千個腫瘤細胞。

T細胞可分成記憶型T細胞及反應型T細胞:
記憶型T細胞,是指可以記住不同抗原性的細胞;反應型T細胞,則有幫忙型、毒殺型以及自然調節型T細胞...等

透過協助免疫系統,執行消除受到感染和具有不同抗原的細胞,以及防止產生過度免疫反應等作用,達到攻擊和消除腫瘤細胞的效果。

T細胞經由胸腺培育並訓練之後,能辨別自身細胞與癌細胞,隨後消滅癌細胞。

只是,隨著年齡增長,T細胞在青春的高峰期後便會開始衰退,數量逐漸減少,減弱了免疫系統的防禦能力,進而影響身體的抵抗力。
